The Venue

The Conference venue is the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Dundalk, Co Louth.

Dundalk is half way between Dublin and Belfast and sits on the Irish sea.

The town is one of Ireland’s largest towns and boasts a rich mythological and industrial heritage.  It is the birthplace of people as diverse as engineer Peter Rice, activist and writer Dorothea McArdle and the explorer Frances Leopold McClintock. Referred to by poet Patrick Kavanagh as his ‘city of illuminations’ its hinterland includes much of the territory of The Táin, sandy beaches, the heritage of the Pale and medieval towns such as Carlingford.  Find out more at
